Fun February Events on Maui

Looking for something unique to do during your stay in Maui, Hawaii? The month of February is full of fun festivals and events.

Every Friday, enjoy a night out at one of Maui’s Friday Town Parties. Each week, a different historic community hosts this outdoor event with food, music, dancing, and more. Check the event website for a full schedule.

In love with art? February 17-25, watch artists capture Maui in paint during the Maui Plein Air Invitational. Or, snag a ticket for Art Affair: Hokusai, a charity auction held at the historic Kaluanui Estate February 24th. Banyan Tree Art Fairs, biweekly art festivals held near the courthouse in Lahaina, are a more laid-back option.

Also in Lahaina, many local residents are of Chinese descent. Join them to ring in Chinese New Year on February 23rd with a community festival featuring cultural performances, tea tastings, and music.

For those interested in Maui’s humpback whales, the annual four-day Whale Tales event is a chance to connect with marine life experts working to save these majestic creatures. Proceeds from all performances and educational activities go toward whale conservation.

Don’t forget the annual Maui Whale Festival February 10-24. This 38-year event is a true Maui tradition. Join the fun at the Annual Harbor Party. Whale-watch offshore while an award-winning musician serenades. You can also catch a movie at the film festival. There’s something for everyone!
